Foundation ActionScript 3.0 Animation: Making Things Move! – shipping today!

At least that’s what it says on Amazon: April 2, 2007. Pete Aylward at Friends of ED says he has copies in his hands, so I’d say it’s on schedule.

Feel free to get a copy at the BIT-101 Store!

Congrats! (Sure, I could just turn around and say this to you. 🙂 )

Brian, well, we’re still not quite within line of sight, though if we both leaned a bit to the left, we could be. 🙂

  3. Congratulations! Can’t wait till my regular book store gets it in stock!

  4. Joel Stransky says:

Ha! and I just started chapter 8 in the last version this morning.

  5. David Jumeau says:

    Hi Keith,

May I ask what is so different from this edition from the previous one? I have the previous version as an e-book and am mid-way through it. If it is recommended, can I get a discount?

    Thx,

    David

  6. Enrico Poli says:

    N*i*c*e! Good work.
For the tree-huggers, it’s on sale as ebook too on Friend of ED’s site 😉

David, the book covers pretty much the same material, chapter by chapter, but is all done in AS3. If you’re not into AS3, then the book is not for you. If you are very familiar with AS3 and have no problem converting AS2 code to AS3, then the principles from the first version will apply, you’ll just have to work the code over into AS3. However, if you are just starting out in AS3, I think it’s a good intro, along with lots of practical examples to get you up to speed in the new language.

  8. I’m sure to grab a copy! Great work Keith!
