Three weeks from tomorrow, I’ll be hopping on a plane with Sam and Chris to Toronto, where we’ll hook up with Tink and all grab a taxi to the hotel. Then we’ll start four days of fun known as FiTC.
As usual, there’s a great speaker line up and I look forward to hanging out with the usual crew and meeting lots of new cool people. This year I’ll be talking about “Apollo Outside the Box”. In other words, doing crazy cool things with Apollo that are off the beaten path of form-based Flex applications.
Shawn must be mad at me. He scheduled me for 9:00 am on the last day of the conference. 🙂 He also got me on a panel with Mike Downey, Chris Allen, Grant Skinner, and Aral Balkan. Subject is AS3, Flex and Apollo: What they Mean to You.
And then, he set me and John Grden up to do one of those video’d conversations. Apparently we just sit in a room and talk for an hour or two about cool stuff, someone comes in, edits out all the “your mom” jokes, and puts it on line. I can’t think of anyone cooler to spend a couple of hours BSing with than John. It’s pretty much what we do on IM most days anyway. 🙂
So, yes indeed. Lining up to be a fun one. Pre-conference pricing is still on for another couple of weeks. “At the door” pricing actually seems to start a week before the conference. So if you’re thinking of going, sign up soon.
Wish I was going. Godspeed.
Keith, I’m looking forward to your presentation. I’ve not had nearly as much time as I’d like to dig into flex and apollo the way I want to, but am excited to see what great people are working on.
I also feel your pain about the 9:00 am time slot, I have the same slot the day before you. But last year me and chuck Friedman had our presentations (we presented individually) at the same time as Josh Davis and were kinda empty, so I’ll take this slot any time.
Keep up the good work
Psyched too, Keith. See you there! 🙂
