Brightcove Video of the Day

This one is my own. Pretty easy to get started. The publish pod app you can download will convert your video to flv and upload it. Tools on the site allow you to apply thumbnails, tags, categories, create lineups, schedule titles, even offer movies for sale. Sign up, it’s free.

Why this player doesn’t have full screen option?

  2. kp says:

Not all the players support fullscreen yet. I had grabbed the link from a non-fullscreen player. Should be fullscreen now.

Awesome movie. Certainly captures the moment succinctly.
    😉

I say some where, you can pass allowFullscreen=true in flashvars to enable it?

Abdul, all of that is handled in the snippet you copy from the player. No need to do anything but copy and paste. As I said, I had originally copied it from one of our player templates that does not support fullscreen. I later changed it.

oh ok, while I was typing my comment there was no comment :), it took sometime to type and post via my mobile…

Wow, I am really surprised at the poor design and implementation of the player from Brightcove. There are so many poor UI choices, particularly related to fonts. Not keen on the whole slow fade of the icons either and the player feels buggy in fullscreen mode. I’m genuinely shocked that a company with Brightcove’s pedigree would put out such a poor front end.

Sure it won’t take long for them to get it sorted though.

    BTW Great Vid!
