I ran across this a week or so ago. www.electricsheep.org.
Not only is it one of the most visually stunning screensavers I’ve seen, but it’s a pretty cool concept. When the screensaver activates, it downloads the latest designs, or “sheep”, from the server. It also joins in the collective computation of new sheep. A new sheep is created every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day, so there is always something new happening on your screen.
That’s one brilliant screensaver, just installed it and its absolutely stunning. The only downside is that the animation loops very obviously which can get quite annoying.
just one word: PERFEKT!!!
Nice psychedelix. Agree with Peter, seems to get stuck on last (lost) sheep.
Thanks i’m glad you like electric sheep.
It takes the screen-saver a while to
download enough sheep to avoid a lot
of looping. Let it run overnight to
really get going. I would also recommend
increasing the cache size to allow a
large flock and hence more variety.
Any further questions feel free to ask
on the discussion forum on electricsheep.org.

I now have half my office hooked on the sheep. It really freaks people out when someone has their laptop on a projector giving a client demonstration, and the sheep kick in on the big screen! 🙂
