Not sure what I’d do without my Netvibes page. I’ve been using it for over a year now. Got my bookmarks, gCal, a couple gMail accounts, weather, translation tools, Twitter, and four pages of nicely categorized feeds. It’s really a personal portal. If you haven’t checked it out, give it a shot. I find it much better than the Google home page thing. Of course, everything is preferences. Anyway, it’s nice to see Netvibes get acknowledged for being such a USEFUL web app.
Not to downplay netvibes achievement, its a sweet site, but looking at some of the other winners im not sure how prestigious this award is. I mean friendster won in the community category? Hotmail was a winner for communication? Every major browser (IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera) won? Although if you look at the breakdown on this page http://www.webware.com/8301-1_109-9728770-2.html you can see that some were more of winners than others, like firefox which had 50% of the votes for browsing.
